The 5th district encompasses the west county including the entire Sonoma County coast, the lower Russian River area, Sebastopol and the west and southwest Santa Rosa areas extending in to Highway 101.

Responsibilities
Supervisor Carrillo’s assigned Functional Group of County departments for the year 2009 is Health and Human Services. Supervisor Carrillo’s special assignments include:
- FishNet 4C
- Joint Roseland Subcommittee
- Public Policy Facilitating Committee
- Tourism Advertising Committee
Supervisor Carrillo is also assigned as the alternate member for the Eel Russian River Commission, Local Agency Formation Commission, the North Coast Air Pollution Control District and the Russian River Watershed Association and as Alternate Director for the Water Advisory Committee.
