District Overview
The 2nd district includes all of the cities of Petaluma and Cotati and a portion of Rohnert Park, as well as the unincorporated communities of Penngrove, Two Rock, Bloomfield and Valley Ford. Much of the dairy industry is located in the 2nd district as well as a large portion of the San Pablo Bay frontage.

Responsibilities
The Board of Supervisors of the County of Sonoma is charged with the responsibility of establishing policy to guide the various functions of the County and, where necessary, to establish procedures by which functions are performed.
Supervisor Kerns’ assigned Functional Group of County departments for the year 2009 is Criminal Justice System Services.
