Duties

Coordinate planning, funding and delivery of countywide human services including the public and private, non-profit sectors; develop funding processes and priorities for community services and child abuse prevention, intervention and treatment funds; make funding allocation and human services policy recommendations to the Board of Supervisors; administer and evaluate performance of contracts with non-profit agencies; organize service systems in high need areas; monitor legislation; develop human services resources; provide public information; conduct special projects and studies in human services.

Term

Two years.

Membership Composition

15 Members 10 members appointed by Board of Supervisors (2 each) One representative of the Human Services Department One representative from the City of Santa Rosa One representative of other cities, appointed by Mayors and Councilmembers' Association One representative from the United Way Board of Directors One representative from Sonoma County Community Foundation Non-voting liaison - Child Abuse Prevention Council of Sonoma County.
